1891 Census shows him as a widower, living at Home Farm with his family and deceased wife’s parents (Barker).

Witness at son Thomas’s marriage in Knightsbridge in December 1897.

Kelly’s Directory of Suffolk for 1900 lists Jesse Precious, Farmer, of Parham.

1901 Census shows him still living at Home Farm with son Jesse Teager, his wife Agnes and grandson John (Jack), together with two daughters, Kate and Bessie.

Also farmed Willoughby Farm (?) from 1897 and lived at Home Farm until about 1907 (personal communication Corinna Davie, Parham Village Local History Recorder).

Kelly’s Directory of Suffolk for 1912 lists a Jesse Precious, Farmer, in Kessingland, near Lowestoft (TO BE CHECKED).

Lived with youngest daughter Bessie and son-in-law George Merton at 2 Hove Villas, Devon Road, Felixstowe at time of death in 1921.

Buried in Parham Churchyard in the same area as the Preciouses. The inscription on the gravestone refers to a long period of illness before a merciful death.

Will dated 22 February 1849 proved in Court of Archdeacon of Suffolk (original will IC/AA1/269, registered copy IC/AA2/125 and SRO film reel no:J421/102).
